For your first visit you’ll be filling out a few intake forms. Then I’ll talk with you, finding out what your concerns are, giving you a short overview of BodyTalk and answering any questions you may have. Then we’ll start the session.
BodyTalk is very relaxing. You’ll be lying on a table, fully clothed and propped with whatever pillows you need to be comfortable lying on your back. I’ll be sitting to your side, using one arm for a type of subtle muscle testing. You get to just relax, as the muscle testing doesn’t require you to tense or hold any muscles.
I’ll be asking your body’s wisdom, (using the BodyTalk protocol and subtle muscle testing) what it’s priorities are for clearing energetic blockages, and for improving communication between different aspects of the body/mind/emotions/spirit — called “links”.
When I arrive at a link, I’ll tell you what the link is, and I’ll balance the link by gently tapping on the head (brain) and the sternum (heart). Sometimes the different aspects of the link will be touched to enhance focus on the link. After a link is “tapped out”, I’ll check to see if it needs any further balancing.
Once the link is balanced, I’ll again use the protocol and muscle testing to find the next link.
The BodyTalk protocol allows your body to request other healthcare modalities, and give the timing if a At some point BodyTalk will no longer be a priority. I’ll ask if any other health modality is a priority, and also ask if a follow-up BodyTalk session is suggested and if so, when.
Most people find BodyTalk deeply relaxing – in fact many people fall asleep! (This is perfectly fine and the session can proceed without interruption.) Some people can feel changes in their energy during the session, but that is not necessary.
A BodyTalk session can be anywhere from 15-20 min to an hour in length. Length is not an indication of the strength of the session. Sometimes a few powerful links will be all that the body wants to process at one time, and can lead to major changes.

Many people feel a sense of relaxation and well-being. You may find that you’re tired and need a little extra sleep. Drinking extra water is a good idea for the 24 hours following a session. If we’ve done links involving body chemistry, it’s possible to experience an elevation of temperature for a short while as the immune system works to clear the body of pathogens.
Pay attention to any changes – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual – in the hours, days and even weeks after your BodyTalk session. As BodyTalk works simultaneously on all levels, changes can come at any level – from improved digestion, to being more easily able to communicate with others, to enhanced clarity of thinking, to a sense of connection with Life., or maybe a niggling pain in a joint is less severe, or just isn’t there anymore.
Your process will be unique to you, guided by your own innate wisdom. Feel free to call if you have any questions about your experience. I love to hear from people what changes and shifts they experience following a session. Remember, the work done during the session continues to unfold for days, and even weeks after the session.
If a follow-up session was suggested, significant improvement can come by doing another session(s) in the time-frame suggested. Our health concerns have developed over time, and so it’s natural that the healing process also takes time.
